Review:
The
new AirPrime® HL7549 LTE embedded module from Sierra Wireless supports B3
(1800MHz), B7 (2600MHz) and B28 (700MHz) on Australian cellular networks. The
HL7549 supports LTE Cat 4 aimed at improving network capacity, throughput, data
speed, and operational cost-efficiency.
Boasting maximum peak download speeds of up to 150Mbps and upload speeds of up
to 50Mbps, the HL7549 works on the 700MHz spectrum offering better coverage and
speeds across Australia. Tthis spectrum is able to cover greater
geographical distances and provides better indoor coverage.
Advantage:
The HL Series is the smallest module on the market sharing a common form factor
across 2G, 3G, and 4G technologies. Choose to solder down or use the
snap-in-socket to switch HL modules with flexibility in production or product
lifetime.
The HL Series modules can be managed remotely with cloud-based M2M platform,
AirVantage® Management Service, enabling device manufacturers to securely
upgrade device firmware over-the-air. The HL Series modules are ideal for M2M
applications such as healthcare, point of sale terminals, consumer electronics,
tracking and fleet management.
